Andrea Schwab has over 20 years of legal experience–predominantly in health law and litigation–and is a licensed CPA. She has gained invaluable experience advocating on behalf of Texas physicians and patients before the Texas Legislature and state agencies as Associate General Counsel for the Texas Medical Association in Austin.

Andrea provides a unique legal perspective – in how law is created by the Legislature, litigated by advocates, and interpreted by courts – which she obtained through involvement in drafting and negotiating legislation, advocating for clients in private practice, and interning at the First Court of Appeals. Lapin & Landa, LLP has a longstanding professional relationship with Andrea, who is presently affiliated with the Firm in an “Of Counsel” capacity, working with the Firm on a wide variety of matters. Andrea also maintains a separate law practice and clientele in Austin, which is independent from Lapin & Landa, LLP.
