CATHRYN A. SCHLESINGER, formerly a Partner with Luccia & Evans, LLP, joined Lapin, Landa & Nolan in 2026. She has more than 25 years of litigation experience. Cathryn received her law degree in 1998 from the University of Houston Law Center. She graduated cum laude from Trinity University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in Business Administration and Political Science. Prior to joining the firm, Cathryn was in-house counsel for a prominent health care system for over 16 years.

Cathryn has defended hospitals, health care professionals, and medical device manufacturers throughout the United States in complex litigation involving medical malpractice, class actions, multi-district litigation, products liability, privacy matters, professional licensing board investigations, and OSHA violations. Shaped by extensive experience in both private practice and in-house leadership roles, she brings a unique and well-rounded perspective, providing clients with a strategic, business-minded approach to complex legal and risk matters.

Cathryn is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) and holds an active Texas Insurance Adjuster’s License. She is a member of the Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
